This piece has combined turquoise, blue, and green colors with a satin silver finish. The center medalion is approximately 1 3/4" x 1" and has the look of a stained glass window. The clasp is a beaded button, matching the beaded cord.

Back to my box of sheet rubber scraps...look at the additional images to see a photo of the barrel of sheet rubber scraps I found in an art supply re-use center. Not only are the colors vivid but this material is easy to cut, easy to glue and can be "carved" into almost any shape. It is virtually weightless so you won't even know you are wearing a necklace.

This multi-strand necklace combines the rusty, antiqued copper with olive green beads. The beads are a combination of shapes and sizes with each having their own character. I used multiple types of chain which all meet at the metal circles. Note that the earrings are fairly long...approximately 3"in length.

This piece developed from a leather rose I found which had been made in Russia. The color is a muted pink and lavendar...very subtle, almost grayish. I had several kinds of coordinating beads that I had picked up at a going-out-of-business sale some time ago...notice that the bead shapes and types are quite different from each other but coordinate beautifully for this piece.

Over the course of time, I have collected quite an assortment of beads for re-purposing. When ever I drive by a thrift store, antique shop, re-use center or flea market my car takes on a life of its own and we end up in the parking lot. As a result, the beads begin to match one another for a creation that just has to happen. This one resulted from a rainy day

The beads used here were made by artisans of a women's collective in Cochibamba, Bolivia. The lady that sold them to me flies to Bolivia frequently to help these women promote their crafts for sale on the international market place. The color and detailed design are incredible.

This dramatic ceramic mask was found in an antique artifacts booth at Hollywood's Fresh Market. The mask itself is about 3". The longest of the three sets of pearls is approximately 43" . The pearls are white and sea foam green and the larger beads used are yellow. I used silver colored spacers.

Inspiration started with an over-sized button I found at the flea market. Multiple strands of beads radiate from the button on both sides. There is a "mini tassel" of beads at the bottom of the button. This necklace is short and looks great with a pale pastel pink blouse.
