This beautiful cabachon is from the collection called Ocean Jasper. The material is a variety of jasper which contains variably colored orbs or spherical inclusions or zones. The name Ocean Jasper indicates the variety found along the intertidal shores of northeast Madagascar. This piece is a blend of pink and green that looked great with the tiny green beads I found at the thrift store and the tri-colored drapery tie back.

Ocean Jasper is a broad category for rocks used in jewelry. It generally comes from the northwest shore of Madagascar and contains variably-colored orbs or spherical inclusions or zones. This piece is vivid pink and green with black lines running thru it. I matched it with some green beads that are wrapped around a drapery tie back and with a tassel from the same source. Earrings not included.
