Cherry Creek Jasper
$55.00
This cabachon is colorful jasper found in mainland China. The word “jasper” usually refers to an opaque stone with an array of colors caused by mineral impurities. This one has a light green color with a mixture of slight reddish or rust color. I re-purposed some matching beads I had previously found at flea markets. The clasp is magnetic and easy to connect.
Earrings included.
Description
The process to make a cabachon is lengthy. You start out with a piece of rock. It is cut into thin slabs, using a lapidary wet saw that ressembles a saw used to cut tile. It is then shaped and polished on a grinder with six wheels of varying grid. I used coordinating beads and a magnetic clasp. The metaphysical healers say it promotes vitality and provides balance between inner and outer experiences. Earrings included.
Length: 22″ plus cabachon
