Norena Jasper

$70.00

The cabachon in this piece comes from the Pilbara region of Western Australia and is called Norena Jasper. This stone is usually orange-red-brown in color with thin gray lines running thru it. I added wooden beads that have notch cuts and some copper spacers…all materials are re-purposed. The wooden beads almost look like they are from a coconut shell but I can”t be certain of their origin.

Earrings included.

Description

I was very lucky to find a Norena Jasper necklace in the Salvation Army thrift store. Although it needed abit of character it was quite special for the price. My husband, who is a lapidary, polished it up and I added contrasting beads and spacers and it is ready to go. This stone comes from Australia in the Pilbara region. The stones from around the world get their color (which identifies where they came from) from the effects of heat and pressure on the minerals in the soil. Earrings included.
