Wearable Sculpture
$80.00
YARN meets WOOD meets ART…due to my fascination for textiles and fiber, I researched to find a yarn store – which is almost an extinct “brick and mortar”…but I found one. There I bought this gorgeous imported Irish yarn, matched it with wooden beads and some copper wire to produce a necklace with a mini sculpture.
Earrings included.
Description
The wooden beads were a find at the Salvation Army thrift store where I frequently pick up “gently worn” necklaces to take apart and to re-furbish the beads for re-use. It was incredible to get such a great color match between the yarn and the beads. The copper came from some discarded electrical wire that I discovered could be stripped of its outer rubber casing and reused. There is a photo in the gallery views of this piece on display at the WMODA in Dania Beach, Florida. Earrings included.
