The beads used here were made by artisans of a women’s collective in Cochibamba, Bolivia. The lady that sold them to me flies to Bolivia frequently to help these women promote their crafts for sale on the international market place. The color and detailed design are incredible.

Description
While at the Madras Gem & Mineral Show in Oregon I met a very interesting American lady who travels frequently to Cochibamba, Bolivia where she helps teach the female artisans how to promote their crafts in the international market place. The elongated beads were hand made by this collective. I matched them up with some beads I had previously found at thrift stores. Check out their story on the web. Earrings included.
